About Miele commercial and professional

The equipment on this page

PWM washers and PDR heat-pump dryers — the Little Giants — the PFD professional dishwashers in their built-under and integrated forms, and the rotary ironers. All of it is in the current US catalog with model numbers, which is why this page exists rather than being a general offer of commercial work.

What actually goes wrong

  • Duty cycle. A machine running eight cycles a day wears its pump, its lock and its bearings on a schedule a household machine never reaches.
  • Water, on the dishwashers. A fresh-water PFD is fed and drained harder than a domestic machine, and the inlet side is where it reports.
  • The dryers' sealed circuit, exactly as on the domestic T1, and with the same answer: not something to run again and hope.
  • Installation, on machines that were moved into a room rather than designed into it — drainage, ventilation and levelling.

What to have ready when you call

The model number, what the machine does in a day, when the room is quiet enough to work in, and whether there is a second machine covering it.

Questions about miele commercial and professional

How is this different from a domestic call?

Mostly in scheduling. The machine is looked at around your hours rather than around a kitchen's, parts are ordered against a machine that cannot wait a week, and the visit is planned so the room can keep working. The engineering underneath is the same and often the parts are.

What counts as commercial here?

The professional line: the PWM and PDR Little Giants washers and dryers, the PFD dishwashers, and the rotary ironers. A domestic Miele installed in a business is still a domestic machine and is priced as one — the difference is the equipment, not the address.

Do you work on machines in a building laundry room?

Yes. Little Giants are common in condo laundry rooms, salons, clinics and small restaurants across Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach, and a shared laundry room with one machine down is the case this row exists for.

Can you keep us running while a part is on order?

Sometimes, and it is worth asking. Where a machine can be run safely in a reduced way until a part lands, you get told that as an option rather than only being told the date.

Tell us the model number and what it is doing.
